Job Description As a Security Officer - Industrial Rover Driver in Lafayette, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will make routine rounds, check doors and key areas, support access control and alarms, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will stay visible to help to deter incidents while delivering customer-focused service and clear communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and direct visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public response resources as directed.
Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and assist with compliance-related checks such as posted rules, restricted area controls, and equipment protection practices.
