About The Position

As a Security Officer - Warehouse Front Desk in Dayton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor cameras and alarms, and document activity while supporting a smooth flow of people and deliveries. You will be a visible, customer-focused presence who helps to reduce security-related incidents through clear communication and attention to detail. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies.
  • Staff the front desk to help manage access control, including greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Monitor alarm panels, CCTV, intercoms, phones, and radios as assigned, escalating unusual activity and/or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by directing drivers to designated check-in locations, confirming appointments as required, and relaying dock and yard instructions per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and assisting with emergency response activities as directed.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports including incident reports, shift logs, and activity documentation with clear, accurate details.
  • Assist with key control and credential accountability processes according to site procedures, reporting missing, damaged, and/or malfunctioning items.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners such as carriers and service providers to help maintain orderly lobby and entry operations and reduce disruptions.
  • Enforce site rules at points of entry in a respectful manner, requesting compliance and reporting repeated noncompliance through the appropriate channels.
  • Participate in required trainings, briefings, and policy updates to maintain familiarity with site protocols and security-related expectations.
