As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a major utilities location, you will be the first point of contact for guests and employees, helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and attentive customer service. You will manage access, provide clear communication, and support a welcoming environment, reflecting our values of teamwork, reliability, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, employees, and/or contractors in a professional manner at the front desk and provide information or assistance as needed.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and logging visitor and contractor entries and departures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including responding to alarms or unusual activity at the front desk.
  • Assist in emergency response activities by following established protocols and communicating with Allied Universal management and site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and escalating as appropriate.
  • Operate communication devices such as phones and radios to relay information and coordinate with other Allied Universal personnel and site contacts.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the location.
