About The Position

As a Security Officer - Warehouse Entry Desk in Edwardsville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, support badging, and monitor visitor and driver activity. You will complete routine patrols, document incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams while providing professional customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing arriving vehicles and pedestrians to approved areas.
Support dock and yard operations by verifying appointments and documentation for inbound and outbound traffic, monitoring restricted areas, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, documentation, and coordination with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yard, and perimeter, and monitor cameras and/or access control systems to identify irregular activity and report concerns.
