As an Allied Universal Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will support access control by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, managing badges and entry points, and monitoring activity for security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Requirements

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to onsite employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal and site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, validating approvals, and directing individuals to the proper check-in process.
• Maintain visitor management processes including sign-in and/or sign-out, issuing temporary credentials when applicable, and collecting credentials upon departure.
• Monitor access control systems such as badge readers, intercoms, turnstiles, and/or camera views to identify irregular activity and report issues per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with facility notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Help to enforce property rules related to authorized access, prohibited items, and restricted areas within a technology-focused location.
• Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, visitor and vendor records, and incident documentation in a timely manner.
• Communicate professionally with onsite teams and/or remote monitoring centers to coordinate access approvals, escalations, and operational updates.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
• Support site operations during higher-traffic periods, special events, and/or deliveries by managing queues, verifying credentials, and coordinating with receiving points.
