You will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and visitor logs, coordinate with site teams, and help keep entry points organized and controlled. You will also conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and deliver clear communication and customer service while working with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate access control at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary badges per site policy, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing arrivals to proper check-in locations.
  • Control vehicle and delivery access at gates by screening drivers, validating shipping and/or work authorizations, coordinating with site contacts for entry approval, and documenting inbound and outbound traffic.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating via radio and/or phone, notifying site leadership as required, and completing incident documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and to identify and report security-related concerns per post orders.
