As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service within a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help maintain a secure environment, and communicating with visitors and team members. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or personnel while carrying out security-related procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any irregularities.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
