Join Allied Universal at an automotive location as an Access Control Officer, where you will greet associates and guests, manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor logs and badge control. You will conduct routine rounds, monitor activity, and report concerns to help support a welcoming environment and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive retail location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in and sign-out, issuing temporary badges, and directing authorized traffic to the appropriate areas.
- Monitor and document vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit, including delivery and transport activity, to help support orderly access and help to deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting Allied Universal supervision and/or local responders per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including customer parking, service lanes, and building entrances; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
