About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Screening in Watsonville, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and communicating entry requirements for a utilities location.
  • Monitor access points, gates, and visitor activity to help support authorized entry and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted and operational areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to post instructions.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs, badge records, and incident documentation, and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues or changing site conditions.
  • Support emergency response activities by controlling entry during incidents, directing arriving personnel to appropriate locations, and following established security-related procedures.
