About The Position

As a Screener with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will support access screening and entry procedures, greet employees and visitors, and help identify security-related concerns before they escalate. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter unwanted activity, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and contractors at entry points using approved methods such as ID verification, visitor check-in, and package and/or bag screening in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor access control points and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and escalating concerns per post orders.
  • Complete required logs and reports, communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support a professional, service-focused entry experience.
