Job Description As a Security Officer - Visitor Screening in Blountstown, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will be a key presence at a controlled-access facility, helping manage entry points through professional screening, ID and credential checks, visitor processing, and communication with site teams. You will observe activity, document security-related events, and support routine rounds as assigned, delivering customer service with calm, clear communication. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Screen persons and permitted items at entry points using designated screening equipment and security-related inspection methods in accordance with post orders and applicable policies.
  • Control access by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor processing requirements, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in and holding areas as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols in assigned areas around the facility and perimeter as required by the location; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
