As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points by screening visitors, employees, and deliveries, checking credentials, and supporting security-related procedures. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and document activity while partnering with site teams to help reduce incidents and keep operations moving. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors and vendors at entry points using site-approved methods such as ID checks, visual inspections and/or detection equipment, and follow escalation steps for prohibited items.
  • Monitor access control points in a logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry logs and directing traffic to the proper check-in areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity and/or policy violations through required communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including dock areas, trailer parking and exterior doors, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
