About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a tech-focused location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Manage access control operations including checking identification, verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and coordinating employee and contractor entry.
  • Monitor entry points, gates, and/or turnstiles, report unusual activity, and assist with security-related incident reporting in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Screen deliveries, packages, and/or equipment entering and leaving the facility in accordance with site requirements, and document findings and exceptions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter, observing conditions and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
