As a Front Desk Officer in a healthcare location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, supporting a professional environment through security-related screening, visitor check-in, badge control, and clear communication with staff and guests. You will monitor lobby activity and cameras, help to deter incidents through a visible presence, and respond to questions and concerns with care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and/or appointments as required, manage sign-in logs, and issue visitor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor access points and lobby activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and coordinate with site staff regarding access requests and after-hours entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related disturbances, unauthorized persons, and disruptive behavior, and notify the appropriate parties per post orders.
  • Complete incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
