About The Position
As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control and badging, and document security-related activity with clear communication. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access control points for associates, visitors, and drivers by verifying identification, supporting sign-in and/or sign-out processes, and directing traffic flow as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, dock areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Complete reports and logs related to security-related observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
