About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In in Mobile, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control at key entry points, greet drivers and team members, verify credentials, and document activity. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing deliveries and pickups according to site protocols.
• Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations through required channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, yards, warehouse areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
