About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In Driver in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a utilities location in an access control post where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, log visitors, and support a smooth flow for employees, contractors, and deliveries. You will complete routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver clear, respectful customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, backed by a caring, people-first team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors and personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations at a utilities facility.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and document access activity in logs and/or systems in accordance with established security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, operational areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns to report.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations, controlling access to impacted areas, and completing clear incident reports for Allied Universal management and site leadership.
