Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will help manage entry points, monitor visitor and vehicle activity, and support security-related protocols with professionalism and care. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and associates by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor access points, screen incoming traffic, and help to deter unauthorized entry by maintaining awareness of people, vehicles, deliveries, and/or packages arriving at the facility.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, access points, loading areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report maintenance, policy, and/or security-related issues.
  • Support receiving and distribution operations by observing truck arrivals, checking trailers and seals when required by site policy, and maintaining accurate logs related to visitor, vendor, and/or shipment access.
