About The Position
As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Chambersburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and associates with courteous customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site leadership and your team. Requirements
- This is primarily a driving post.
- A valid driver license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and/or fire and alarm activations, and coordinate with local emergency services when needed.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe for suspicious behavior, and help to reduce theft and/or property damage by reporting concerns to management and law enforcement as appropriate.
- Prepare clear written reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate key information during shift briefings and post turnovers.
