About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Shopping Center in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and respond to security-related concerns while staying highly visible to help reduce incidents. This is a driving post, so you will complete vehicle patrols, document observations, and communicate clearly with store teams and visitors. Requirements
- A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- A Guard Card/license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, entrances and exits, receiving areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or emergency services as needed and assisting with crowd control.
- Monitor activity through routine observation and available systems, report suspicious behavior, and document incidents through accurate logs and written reports.
- Support opening and closing routines by checking doors, gates, and key areas, verifying access credentials for staff and vendors, and assisting with loss prevention activities in accordance with post orders.
