About The Position
As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Tustin, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail mall location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers and tenants with courteous service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail shopping location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and/or local public services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, corridors, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity for policy compliance, reporting suspicious behavior, trespassing, and/or disruptive conduct according to post orders.
- Complete detailed reports of patrol activities, incidents, and interactions, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts using approved systems.
