BSG is currently seeking to hire 2 full-time Vehicle Patrol Security Officers in Marin County. These Officers will provide safety and security by performing extensive patrols (by vehicle and foot) in a professional manner for our commercial and residential properties. Patrol Security Officers operate both independently and as part of a team to deliver exceptional service and support to our clients. They conduct multiple, randomly timed stops during each patrol period to perform thorough checks of all assigned properties. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Eligibility to work in the United States.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Possess a current California Guard Card License.
A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record for 3 years is required for Vehicle Patrol.
Reliable transportation is necessary.
Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.
Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.
Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de-escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.
Ability to prioritize with strong time management skills.
Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.
Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.
Possess a clear understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols.
At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Ability to sit while driving a vehicle, stand or walk for long periods, often for several hours at a time, including traversing outdoor areas with uneven surfaces, without significant physical strain.
Regularly climb stairs and navigate multi-level buildings to perform patrols and check all areas.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move or secure equipment and assist with other duties as necessary.
Ability to withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols, including hot, cold, rainy, or windy weather.
Ability to handle and operate security equipment, such as radios, keys, and locks.
Ability to sprint short distances if needed to respond quickly to emergencies or incidents.
Capable of working long hours while remaining alert and focused throughout the shift.
De-escalate stressful situations with professionalism and patience.
Ability to kneel, crouch, and bend to check low-level areas, secure entrances, or assist in emergencies.
Strong vision and hearing to observe surroundings, monitor security systems, and detect alarms or sounds of distress.

Nice To Haves

Desire to pursue a police academy, law enforcement, or criminal justice career encouraged.
Permit for an exposed firearm is a plus.

Responsibilities

Respond to triggered alarms, distress calls, or calls for service.
Issue, log, and track parking violations; execute towing policies.
Generate awareness among communities.
Search properties for unwanted trespassers or suspicious persons.
Report emergency incidents to first responder agencies.
Investigate any potential safety issues or vandalism.
Maintain a good working relationship with local law enforcement and first responder agencies while reporting emergency incidents.
Address any additional client concerns.
Perform regular patrols of assigned areas, including multi-level buildings and outdoor spaces, while standing or walking for extended periods.
Climb stairs frequently to inspect all areas thoroughly.
Respond swiftly to emergencies or incidents, including sprinting short distances if necessary.
Use manual dexterity to operate security equipment such as radios, keys, and locks efficiently.
Lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds to assist with security tasks or emergencies.
Secure heavy items or assist with moving necessary supplies as part of the role.
Utilize strong vision and hearing abilities to monitor surroundings, identify potential security threats, and detect alarms or sounds of distress.
De-escalate stressful or potentially volatile situations with professionalism, patience, and effective communication skills.
Maintain focus and remain alert throughout long shifts, ensuring the safety and security of the premises.
Assist in evacuations or other emergency responses, utilizing physical stamina and agility to support individuals in need.
Keep accurate and detailed activity logs, documenting all patrols, incidents, and observations during the shift.
Prepare comprehensive reports for any incidents ensuring records are clear and precise for review.
