As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests, support store teams, and communicate clearly while documenting observations and responding to issues as they arise. Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and store staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, stock areas, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and customer traffic, assist with crowd management during peak shopping periods, and support loss prevention teams by observing and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Complete detailed security-related reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and on-site management.
