As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy requirements are required.

Requirements

  • Computer Literacy (Electronic Report Writing)
  • 1 year Security, Law Enforcement and/or Military Experience
  • Driver's License with good driving history
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report unusual conditions and/or potential hazards according to post orders.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
