About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Melbourne, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at an aero and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, communicate clearly, and document observations while supporting a caring, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hangars, production areas, offices, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, directing visitor check-in processes, and/or controlling entry to restricted areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and/or other documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
