About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, supporting site coverage and rapid response as needed. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that require attention.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor credentials, directing deliveries and pickups according to site procedures and reporting access issues to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local responders as needed.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and patrol findings, and communicate observations and/or hazards to supervisors for follow-up.
