About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, engage with the public, and deliver outstanding customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report suspicious activities and/or persons within the retail environment.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities as required.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits within the retail location.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and helping to deter theft or other undesirable behavior.
