As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols and drive between assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support site operations through clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
- Monitor and control access at gates, doors, and designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and/or maintaining entry and exit logs.
- Complete detailed reports and shift logs, communicate via radio and/or phone, and coordinate with site leadership and local responders when needed.
