Job Description As a Security Officer - Utility Site Patrol in Oregon, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with people on-site, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor the location for any unusual or suspicious activity, reporting concerns as appropriate.
- Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding incidents and daily activities.
- Support access control measures by verifying credentials and observing entry and exit points as required by site policies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and patrol activities.
- Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation protocols as needed in a utilities environment.
