About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utility Patrol Driver in Madison, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a utilities location. You will interact with visitors and staff, delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding our core values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting operations at utility locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as security-related breaches, hazards, or suspicious activity, to appropriate personnel.
  • Work closely with Allied Universal management and client representatives to address concerns and support security-related needs at the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points at the utility location.
