As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, use computer and/or tablet tools to support site operations, and provide professional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
Guard Card/License is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Control access to buildings, yards, and restricted areas by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, and coordinating entry approvals with site contacts.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems; document and report unusual activity, damaged equipment, and/or operational concerns per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with notifications, scene management, and/or directions for arriving responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, perimeter fencing, and equipment areas to help identify hazards, unauthorized activity, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
