Job Description As a Security Officer Dispatch Console in Rapid City, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional supporting a utilities location, where you will monitor activity, coordinate communications, and respond to security-related needs with professionalism and care. In this role, you will help maintain an organized operation through strong customer service, teamwork, and clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach with integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, dispatch protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor phones, radios, alarms, and/or system notifications to receive calls for service, prioritize incidents, and relay information to the appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Document incidents, service requests, and communications in dispatch logs and/or reporting systems, helping to support accurate records and timely follow-up.
  • Coordinate routine and urgent communications across the location, including utility operations areas, to help support response efforts during outages, access issues, and other security-related or operational concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
