About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol - Full Time in Maidsville, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will complete routine rounds across buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations with clear, professional communication. You will greet employees and visitors with service-focused support, respond to reports, and collaborate with site teams to keep operations running smoothly. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of operational areas, buildings, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and supporting visitor and contractor processing per site procedures.
Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, perform routine checks of gates, doors, and equipment areas, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site management.
