As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an unarmed patrol position at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
Communicate with clients, visitors, and/or personnel to address questions or concerns regarding security-related matters.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
Assist with the enforcement of site access control policies for employees, visitors, and vehicles entering or leaving the location.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement as required during incident response or emergency situations.
Remain observant of the environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unauthorized activities within the location.
