Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter and operational areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors on site, offering assistance as needed while upholding security-related protocols.
Support Allied Universal management and local client representatives in implementing security-related procedures and responding to site-specific needs.
