As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will help to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access at a utilities location by managing access control responsibilities. Your role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence to visitors and personnel. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.20 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Tue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other personnel and/or law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters at the location.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures and provide information as needed while maintaining security-related protocols.
