About The Position

As a Security Officer - Credential Checkpoint in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, supporting access control and site operations. You will greet visitors and drivers, verify credentials, issue badges, manage entry and exit logs, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service. Using a computer or tablet, you will document observations and communicate clearly with teams on site, reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or delivery paperwork, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by directing inbound and outbound traffic, confirming seal numbers and/or trailer information as required by post orders, and reporting irregularities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including writing detailed reports and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services when directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including entrances, staging areas, parking lots, and the perimeter, and monitor alarms and/or video systems as assigned.
