About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Access Control in Georgetown, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Communicate clearly with team members and site management regarding security-related matters and observations.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Support emergency response activities as directed, assisting with evacuation or lockdown procedures when appropriate.
