As a Security Officer - Utilities Access Control Driver in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a major utilities location, you will play a key role in monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will support a secure environment for staff and visitors while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Assist with access control procedures to help protect personnel, property, and assets within the utilities location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or conditions.
- Support emergency response activities when appropriate, working closely with site management and Allied Universal.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and access control activities as required by site policies.
