About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Perimeter Bike Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, supporting a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the education location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying identification as required by site policies.
Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and communicating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed.
