As a Security Officer Access Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Candidates must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting security-related protocols for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Monitor access control points, check identification and credentials, log visitor and vehicle activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted and operational areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required communication and documentation processes.
Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting potential hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including directing foot and vehicle traffic, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders, and following post orders for chemical and industrial environments.
