As a Security Officer Access Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Candidates must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting security-related protocols for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Monitor access control points, check identification and credentials, log visitor and vehicle activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted and operational areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required communication and documentation processes.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting potential hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including directing foot and vehicle traffic, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders, and following post orders for chemical and industrial environments.
