As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving officer at a dynamic technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, and support access-related activities. In this role, you will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity at designated access points, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site policies.
  • Support security-related operations by preparing detailed reports, maintaining awareness of sensitive infrastructure areas, and assisting with directions and general assistance for personnel on site.
