Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Entry Control in Beaumont, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a chemical and petrochemical environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of personnel and visitors as required by site-specific policies.
Assist in the implementation of security-related procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity within the chemical or petrochemical facility.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with inquiries related to site access and protocols.
Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for irregularities or security-related concerns.
Maintain accurate logs and reports of all access control activities and incidents as required by Allied Universal and client procedures.
Collaborate with site management and law enforcement as needed to address security-related issues.
