As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a public services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will be a trusted presence for staff and visitors, documenting observations, communicating clearly, and responding to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 1 year of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and the location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and key activity points for unusual conditions; assist with visitor check-in, directions, and de-escalation when appropriate.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity using written reports and/or electronic reporting systems per site procedures.
