You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, observe for unusual activity, assist with access points, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while documenting security-related observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, documenting, and escalating concerns per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Monitor access points by observing visitor flow, verifying authorization when directed, and guiding individuals to appropriate check-in and/or service areas in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete required shift communications, including detailed incident reports, activity logs, and notifications to Allied Universal supervision and/or on-site management as needed.
