Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Vehicle Rounds in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or reports, document observations, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and site contacts while providing strong customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe conditions for unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations; report issues to the appropriate property contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, directions, and coordination with management and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate updates to supervisors and site representatives.
