Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a premier residential apartment community, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support residents and staff with professional communication and customer service, report concerns promptly, and help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, community-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, amenity areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when appropriate and assisting with scene control until help arrives.
- Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unusual activity, and document security-related concerns in daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Communicate professionally with property management and/or local authorities regarding security-related matters, providing timely updates and clear written documentation.
