Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Transit Patrol Full-Time in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated government locations. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with site staff and local authorities as necessary during incidents and/or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide assistance to staff, visitors, and the public as needed.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
