Security Officer - Unarmed Train Station Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol Guardian in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or designated personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in written reports, logs, and/or electronic systems, and assist with routine inquiries while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
