As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will engage with visitors and staff, manage access points, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential threats.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Follow detailed instructions and guidelines unique to the location, adapting to the dynamic environment of a technology-focused facility.
